Formal Curriculum Overview
Intent – What are we trying to achieve?
At Marshlands we work together with the pupils to identify where they are in their learning and plan for their progress through a range of subject areas. We want them to develop practical skills in a positive and engaging environment in the context of an interesting and relevant Creative Curriculum. We want the pupils to develop a love for learning and skills for life as they grow to reach their full potential. We want them to be happy, healthy, safe and included in the community. We are committed to their progress and accountable for their achievement.
Implementation – How do we organise what we are doing?
We have a whole school approach with overarching themes that have significance for individuals and provide relevant learning contexts. The topics are planned for a 2 year rolling plan for all groups.
Impact – How will we measure we are achieving our aims?
We look at each learner as an individual and capture the whole picture of their progress, it is an integral part of the teaching and learning cycle.
