Ducks

In the Spring term our Creative curriculum topic is ‘Space′. In English, we will be looking at lots of different stories linking to our topic, using our imagination to create and the describe ours designs. This will link with our Science topic where we will be learning about light and darks, day and night, experimenting with reflective surfaces and exploring the solar system. Within our maths lessons we are looking at number, shape and addition and subtraction. Alongside academic learning, Ducks Class aim to provide a positive and nurturing social environment where children can build their independence. We help to promote the children’s communication through a total communication approach, this will assist the children to create social connections and help children with general life skills. Alongside the curriculum above we will also taking part in sessions based on: speech and communication, life skills, social interaction, intensive interaction and sensory room time.
