Fireflies

Fireflies is a small, nurture-based class with a high level of staff support for UKS2 children. The class is overseen by class teacher Mrs Rackley and staffed by Mr Anson and Mr Godwin.

 Based within the grounds of the school’s sensory garden, the class is centred on the development of communication and independence skills. We place a strong emphasis on sensory learning and take great enjoyment in engaging with the outdoors, regardless of the weather conditions.

We implement a total communication approach and take pleasure in fostering the development of our social skills together. The small class size enables a bespoke timetable to be delivered in order to meet the individual needs of our learners to ensure they flourish.
